Happy Friday or Saturday or whenever you may be reading this. Before I get to the juicy stuff, I want to share 2 things with you:
First…that picture of Owen. It is so adorable it makes my heart hurt. Where does the time go?
Second…a couple of wishes for your weekend…
praying you find the time to slow and take a few breaths…hug a few necks…laugh out loud…snuggle close to someone you love…eat something yummy…waste a few minutes or a whole day just soaking up the good stuff all around you (if you are paying attention it’s really not a waste at all.)

I watched this a few times this week and have been dying to share it with you. At 9 plus minutes it seems long but you will be laughing so hard you won’t want it to end. My face hurts from smiling over this so much!
I hope you loved that as much as I did…seriously…so funny and awkward. LOVE Jimmy Fallon.

So, were you cold this week? Yep, me too. I love comfort food ALWAYS but especially when it’s frigid outside. Supper one night this week was Crockpot Chicken and Dumplings. Delicious and wonderful as leftovers. Want to see how to make it?
Put some frozen chicken in your crockpot.
Next add –
- 2 TBSP of butter
- 2 cans of cream of chicken soup
- 1 can of chicken broth
- some frozen chopped onion (or fresh chopped if you prefer…ain’t nobody got time for chopping veggies around here)
- a sprinkle of parsley
Then just let it go for about 4 hours.
When you come back, it’s time to shred the chicken and make the dumplings.
Take the chicken pieces out, shred them up and put them back in the crockpot.
Take 4 of the biscuits, cut them into 9 pieces each and place them in the crockpot to cook for 30 minutes.
When the 30 minutes are up, it’s ready to eat!
One last tip is to bake the rest of the tube of biscuits to enjoy with your meal. Seriously easy and delicious comfort food.

This is random but in the name of all things cozy I wanted to share this wrap with you. You can find it at Nordstrom in all sorts of colors. It’s made of the softest fleecy sweatshirty material. The best part is that it’s on SALE right now! Get on over to their site and grab one.

Lastly, this week I talked about my approach to reading this year. You can read my thoughts HERE. A favorite author/blogger of mine, Emily Freeman, wrote this post about her favorite reads this past year. If you are looking for suggestions, take a look.
Have a fantastic weekend friends. I appreciate you stopping by!
